Badges
Badges are visual awards you design for your partners. A partner collects badges on their profile as they progress through your program — for finishing a course, reaching a tier, or a one-off achievement you want to recognise. They're a lightweight way to keep partners motivated and to make progress visible.
Prerequisites
You can design a badge at any time — there's nothing to set up first. To have partners earn a badge automatically, you'll also need something to attach it to:
a course partners can complete, or
a program tier partners can reach.
You can also award a badge to an individual partner directly, which needs no course or tier.
Creating a badge
Open Badges and choose one of:
Design a badge — opens the badge builder, where you assemble a badge from shapes, text, and images and give it a title.
Upload a badge — if you already have artwork, upload the image and give it a title instead of building one.
How partners earn a badge
Path | What happens |

Completing a course | Attach a badge to a course. Every partner who finishes the course earns the badge automatically. |
Reaching a tier | Attach a badge to a program tier. Partners earn it the moment they qualify for that tier. |
A direct award | Award a badge to an individual partner yourself, to recognise a one-off achievement. |
Attach a badge to a course or tier from the badge's detail page, or from the course and tier settings.
Field reference
Field | Meaning |

Managing badges
Edit a badge to reopen it in the builder and change its artwork or title.
Delete a badge you no longer need. This can't be undone.
Search the grid to find a badge by title once you have several.
Permissions
Badges are managed by company admins. Partners see the badges they've earned on their profile; they can't create or edit badges.
FAQ
Do partners see badges they haven't earned? No — a partner only sees the badges they've been awarded.
Can one badge be attached to more than one course or tier? Yes. A single badge can be reused across as many courses and tiers as you like.
What happens to a partner's badges if I delete the badge? Deleting a badge removes it from your library. Design badges deliberately and prefer editing over deleting once partners have started earning them.
